Southeastern Community & Family Services (SCFS), formerly Four County Community Services, will conduct a public hearing to receive public comment on its draft Five-Year Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan (2015-2019) and fiscal year 2015 Annual PHA Plan.The 5-year plan describes the mission of the Agency and the Agency’s long range goals and objectives for achieving its mission over the next 5 years. The annual plan provides details about the Agency’s immediate operations, programs and services provided by the Agency, and the strategy for addressing the needs identified in the 5 year plan for the upcoming year.
The hearing will take place on March 23, 2015, according to a Notice of Public Hearing issued by the agency, and the public is invited to comment on the plan. The meeting will be held at the offices of SCFS, 915 South Main Street (Oaks Professional Building), Suite H, Laurinburg, NC. The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m.

SCFS operates in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Pender, Robeson and Scotland counties with numerous programs. Included are the Public Housing Agency, Weatherization Services and Head Start, to mention a few.

The Board of Directors includes 6 Bladen County residents including Cynthia Demery, Joseph Rozier, Jr., James G. (Jimmie) Smith, J.C. Batchelor, Mark Coleman and Josephine Kirk.
The next SCFS Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015; 6 p.m. at Robeson Community College in Lumberton, NC.
SCFS operates 2 Head Start locations in Bladen County; the Baltimore Center on Elwell Ferry Road, Council, NC and in Elizabethtown, NC.
