Spread the love
We are getting there…I know you have heard the old expression…When it rains it pours….Charlotte Smith is a hard worker and we all—are determined to get to the bottom of the technical issues with BladenOnline…We will overcome…
A group (Charleston food Bloggers) has named a ‘Best Resturant’ in each county in the state (more than one in larger counties).  San Jose was the Bladen County choice…It is a good restaurant….With all the good restaurants in every county, wonder if they visited all the restaurants or pulled the name out of a hat…Taste, experience and uniqueness were listed as the criteria used to make the choice…
A few hours ago we were being warned about the possibility of some bad weather…Thankfully, it never materialized….
We all see the debris left behind by folks who have little respect for our beautiful state and county…They ‘trash it’… trash  our roadways, our yards, our parking lots and businesses…Many areas are an ‘unsightly mess’…NCDOT is sponsoring a Spring Litter Sweep beginning nextSaturday, April 18 and continues through Saturday, May 2…Time to clean up around us and more if possible..Do not understand folks who care so little about our beautiful state…
A reminder of a couple of worthy events next week…both on Friday..Special Olympics and the Annual Bladen We Care Gala…More later…Volunteers are needed for Special Olympics and tickets are still available for the Gala at The Venue at White Lake…
Major League baseball for 2015 is underway….The Masters golf tournament continues today and tomorrow and NASCAR…think tickets are still available at most race tracks…
Had lunch at the Corner Cafe Friday…enjoying food and fellowship, every table was taken and heard someone begin to sing an old gospel classic…’Where Could I Go But To The Lord’…Looked around and saw four male senior citizens…Everyone stopped and enjoyed…Recognized Leonard Chesnutt, retired Bladen Ag Extension Chairman, as one of those entertaining….A loud round of applause followed their rendition….
I phoned the local gym and ask if they could teach me how to do the splits.  He said, ‘How flexible are you?” I said, “I can’t make Tuesdays or Thursdays.”
A penny saved is a government oversight.
The road to success…..is always under construction.
