Freshman Patience Parker poured in 13 of her game-high 17 points in the second half to lead West Bladen to a 32-30 Four County Conference jayvee girls’ basketball victory over visiting Wallace-Rose Hill Saturday.

Parker scored all 6 of West Bladen’s points in the third quarter as the Lady Knights held onto a 19-17 lead.

Parker then sank 5 of 7 free throws and added another basket in the fourth quarter. Mikayla Winebarger, Indyah Williams and Elizabeth Allbright threw in 2 points each in the final period to keep West Bladen ahead.

Allbright, Williams and Winebarger all finished with 4 points each for the winners. Sophmore Jerena Purdie tossed in all 3 of her points in the first quarter as the Lady Knights took a 5-3 first period lead. West led 13-9 at halftime.

West Bladen travels to Wallace-Rose Hill Tuesday night.
