Hannah Richardson and Violet Allen walloped home runs Tuesday to lead the Force to an 18-9 victory over the Glory in 11-12 Fast-Pitch Softball League action at County Park.

Natalee Sykes slammed a double, and Richardson blasted her home run to key the Force’s seven-run first inning. Allen, Marley Crabtree, Emmee Ward and Molly Tolar all drew walks and scored runs. Reagan Moore, Sykes and Richardson also scored runs in the inning.

The Glory answered with five runs in the second inning. Martha Simmons blasted a home run to right-center field to begin the rally. Kaitlyn Edwards ripped a single, Emily Raney and Hayley Wright drew walks, and Isabel Cookson was hit by a pitch. All four of them scored.

The Force responded with six runs in the home second to push their lead to 13-5. Erin Murdock and Moore drew walks and scored runs. Allen hammered a home run, and Crabtree was hit by a pitch. Gracie Todd, Crabtree and Molly Pait also scored runs.

The Glory sliced the lead to 13-9 with a four-run third inning. Katy, Karly Ross, Simmons and Cookson all reached base and scored runs in the inning.

Sykes, Toler, and Todd all drew walks and scored runs in the Force half of the third. Murdock was hit by a pitch and scored, and Moore reached base and scored as the lead grew to 18-9.

Crabtree and Emmee Ward shared the pitching duties. Crabtree started and struck out one batter, Emmee Ward relieved and closed out the win striking out three.

Moore scored three runs for the winners. Allen, Crabtree, Sykes, Tolar, Todd and Murdock scored two runs each, and Pait, Ward and Richardson scored one run each.

Simmons batted 2-for-2 with the home run and scored twice for the Glory. Iveonna Ward and Edwards added one hit each. Cookson scored twice, and Katy, Ross, Edwards, Raney and Wright scored one run each.
