ELIZABETHTOWN – The Force edged the Thunder 5-4 Monday in Bladen Recreation 11-12 Fast-Pitch Softball action.

The Thunder grabbed the early lead with a pair of first inning runs. Lena Trinidad singled and scored on Kaden Thurman’s fielder’s choice. Catcher Holland Davis cracked a single and raced home on Marlie Walters’ double.

The Force rallied with 3 runs in the second inning to take a 3-2 lead. Morgan Benson was hit by a pitch, and Emmee Ward laced a single to centerfield that scored Benson. Kennedy Carroll drove in Ward with a single, and Carroll scooted home on Reagan Moore’s fielder’s choice.

Two runs in the third inning padded the Force lead to 5-2. Hannah Richardson and Gracie Todd started the inning with singles. Molly Pait and Kaitlynn Brisson drove in Richardson and Todd with fielder’s choices.

The Thunder answered with two runs in the home half of the third. Trinidad was hit by a pitch, and Megan Pait drilled a single to left. Thurman ripped a single to centerfield that scored Trinidad. Singles by Davis and Walters brought Davis around to score the fourth run.

Ward batted 2-2 with a run scored and a run batted in to lead the Force hitters. Carroll, Todd, and Richardson connected for one hit each. Todd, Benson, Carroll and Richardson scored one run each, and Ward, Carroll, Moore, Molly Pait and Brisson drove in runs.

Walters batted 2-2 with a double and 2 rbi’s to lead the Thunder hitters. Davis finished 2-2 at the plate with a run scored. Trinidad, Megan Pait, Thurman, Brooke Singletary, Haley Bryan and Nyla Hunter smacked one hit each.

Trinidad scored 2 runs, and Thurman and Davis scored one run each. Thurman drove in 2 runs.
