ELIZABETHTOWN – The Thunder closed out their championship season in Bladen Recreation’s 11-12 Fast-Pitch Softball League with a 15-4 victory over the Glory Thursday night. The Thunder finished the season with a 5-1 record.

The Thunder jumped in front with 6 runs in the top of the first inning. Lena Trinidad, Kaden Thurman, Holland Davis, Nyla Hunter, Brookee Singletary and Summer Singletary belted singles and scored runs.

McKenzi Storms, Karly Ross and Stacey Gomez cracked singles and scored runs for the Glory in the top of the second inning to trim the margin to 6-3.

Trinidad, Thurman, Davis, Hunter and Summer Singletary smacked singles in the home half of the second for the Thunder, and Trinidad, Thurman, Davis and Hunter scored runs to stretch the Thunder lead to 10-3.

In the Thunder third inning, Trinidad, Megan Pait, Thurman, Davis, Hunter and Brookee Singletary swatted singles, and Trinidad, Pait, Thurman, Davis and Hunter scored runs to boost the lead to 15-3.

Laci Storms singled and scored the final Glory run in the home half of the third.

Trinidad, Thurman, Davis and Hunter all batted 3-3 and scored 3 runs each to lead the Thunder hitters. Brookee Singletary and Summer Singletary both batted 2-3 and scored one run each. Pait and Haley Bryan added one hit each, and Pait scored a run.

McKenzi Storms, Laci Storms, Ross, Gomez and Emily Raney connected for one hit each for the Glory. McKenzi Storms, Laci Storms, Ross and Gomez scored one run each.
