GASTONIA – Bladen County’s 12U Coed All-Stars posted a 1-1-1 record in their first 3 games in the State-Wide Activities Committee (SWAC) 12U Boys state soccer tournament Saturday at George Poston Park.
Bladen County battled Fuquay-Varina to a 1-1 tie in their tournament opener. In their second game, the Bladen team rolled past Mount Holly 7-1 then lost to Nash County 7-1.
Bladen County will complete round-robin play Sunday morning with a 10 a.m. match against Holly Springs. The top two teams in each bracket will begin semi-final play at 2 p.m. with the championship game slated for 5 p.m.
