The Bladen Boy Scouts of America will host a fundraiser this year virtually. Woody Horton with the organization stated, “The annual Bladen County Boy Scouts of America Investment in Character fundraising event will be slightly different than in past years. Our Campaign event will be held virtually at www.watchcfc.org. Our virtual event will go Live on March 9th at 6:00 pm. The program will feature highlights of our Scouting program in the Cape Fear Council and will include testimonials from local scouts. Our guest speaker for our virtual event this year will be NFL referee and Lumberton native Brad Allen! Brad has an interesting story to share that you do not want to miss!”
The virtual program will last about 30 minutes. Attendees will be able to make pledges and donations online during the event. The video will also be recorded for viewing at a later time if unable to attend when the broadcast goes live.
All funds raised will be used to benefit local Scouting programs throughout the Cape Fear Council which serves eight counties in southeastern North Carolina. The event will be broadcast on the Cape Fear Council BSA YouTube page. For any questions, please contact Woody Horton at (910) 874-1620.
