See You At The Pole (SYATP) is an annual event that started in 1990. The event is student-led, where students meet at the flagpole before school begins on the fourth Wednesday in September. On September 22, 2021, students gathered together voluntarily in Tar Heel Middle School gym for a moment of prayer.
According to the schools’ Facebook post, the students prayed for students, staff, community, and the world. 7th grader, Emma Fisher, led THMS students during this nationwide SYATP gathering.
SYATP is an event with support across the country from ministries, organizations, including Cru, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, TBN, CBN, Promise Keepers, YWAM, National Day of Prayer, and Alliance Defending Freedom.
