Taurean Reshaul Johnson, 36, of Clarkton (pictured) suspected of a triple homicide turned himself in on Sunday evening, according to Chief Deputy Mac Warner, III, Chief Deputy with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

A search began Sunday morning for Johnson after a home invasion at 71 Tina Lane in Clarkton was reported leaving three people dead, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office. According to the report a shooting took place during at the residence leaving three people dead at the scene. The victims were Katrice Lacole Murchison, 30, Ronnie Lebert Kelly, 27, and Guy Lennon Barden Jr., 60. A fourth person, Hazel Epps, 69, survived. All of the victims are believed to have resided at the home.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Bladen County 911 Center received a call about 1:30 a.m. that a man had entered the home on Tina Lane, and shot several people then fled.

According to Warner’s report Monday morning Johnson turned himself in Sunday evening after Detective Rodney Warwick spoke with a female who was pleading with Johnson to turn himself in.

The Honorable Bladen County Judge Scott Ussery presided over Johnson’s first court appearance held today, February 24, 2020 at noon by way of telecommunication. Johnson is being held at the Bladen County Detention Center without bond. James Payne, an attorney from Brunswick County is representing Johnson on his three felony first degree murder charges and his one attempted murder charge, according to Bladen County Chief Prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney Quintin McGee. His case was continued until March.

Three people were shot and killed during a home invasion in Clarkton on Sunday morning and a search is underway for the suspect, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities are looking for 36-year-old Taurean Reshaul Johnson of Clarkton (pictured). He has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, the Sheriff’s Office said.
