1. Dixie Youth Baseball state tournament: Leinwand Park, Elizabethtown. Today, 6:30 p.m., Elizabethtown vs. Fairmont. Winner will play West Robeson on Saturday for the Division 1 championship. In the Division 2 tournament, Burgaw will play South Columbus at 6:30 p.m. with the winner receiving a spot in the World Series.
2. Rabies Clinics for dogs and cats: Saturday, $7 per animal (cash only). 12:30-1 p.m., Elizabethtown Veterinary Hospital; 1:30-2 p.m., Garland Town Hall; 2:20-2:50 p.m., 701/210 Crossroad Tienda Dona Mary, Garland; 3:10-3:40 p.m., Long’s Store, Harrells; 4-4:30 p.m., Kelly Store.
