Here are three things to know for Friday, Feb. 4:

1. No School Today: Students in Bladen County Schools are out today. It’s a teacher workday for staff.

2. High School Basketball: Today, East Bladen and West Bladen play at home. East Bladen hosts league-leading St. Pauls. West Bladen is home against Midway. The junior varsity boys games tip at 4:30 p.m. followed by the varsity girls and varsity boys. The St. Pauls varsity girls and boys are unbeaten in Southeastern Conference play. (SPORTS)

3. Gospel Musical Explosion: Saturday, 5 p.m., Greater McKoy’s Chapel, 284 Center Road, Elizabethtown.
