Here are three things to know for Friday, Nov. 11:

1. Veterans Day: Today. It’s to recognize and honor American military service veterans of all wars. Bladen County and municipal government offices are closed. Bladen County facilities are bathed in green light in the evenings through Sunday to show support for military veterans.

2. Road To The Apollo: Sunday, 6 p.m., Bladen Community College auditorium, 7418 NC 41 West, Dublin. Advance tickets: $20. Day of show tickets: $25. Singers, dancers, comedians, spoken word and musicians to audition for chance to audition at the Apollo Theater in New York. Information: 919-323-6920.
