Here are three things to know for Wednesday, March 5:

1. Bladen Schools Cancel Classes: Today. The system announced that schools will be closed for students due to the potential severe weather. All after school events, including practices, are cancelled. It will be an optional teacher workday.

2. Small Flock Chicken Workshop: Thursday, 6:30 p.m., N.C. Cooperative Extension-Bladen County Center, 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown.
