1. Kids Appreciation Day: Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Elizabethtown Town Hall, 805 West Broad Street. Bounce houses, games, bicycle giveaway, music and food. Sponsored by Elizabethtown Police Department.
2. Peace Officers Memorial Service: Monday, 8 a.m., Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, 299 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown. In case of inclement weather, event will be at Foundation Church, 909 South Poplar Street, Elizabethtown. Open to the public. RSVP by April 28 by calling 910-862-6967.
3. Herbs – Garden to Table: Tuesday, 10 a.m.-noon, North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service- Bladen County Center, 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown. Two-part herb workshop. $10, which covers both classes. Session 1: Learn the basics of herb gardening – from soil preparation to planting and care.
