Three things to know for Monday, July 11.
1. Wish there wasn’t a need for it, but a Crime page has been added to the top navigation. It has, obviously, crime-related stories as well as coverage from court sessions. The page can be found at bladenonline.com/news/crime/. The numbers show there’s a lot of interest in those stories and, unfortunately, there’s often plenty of stories to write.
2. Veteran dirt track driver Cameron Norris III, who won Saturday’s Pure Stock race at Dublin Motor Speedway, wishes rearview mirrors were allowed again on the cars. “The rules now don’t allow mirrors,” he said, “and for 30 years, I had mirrors. I despise it because you don’t know where (the other cars are) at, whether they’re right up your tailgate or you’re a straightaway ahead.”
