Here are three things to know for Wednesday, July 21:

1. Pet Adoption Special: Through July 30, Bladen County Animal Shelter. Adoption special fees are $40-$45 for dogs, $30 for cats. Fees will include core vaccinations, rabies vaccinations, and a microchip. For information or appointment, call 910-862-6918.

2. COVID-19 vaccines: Bladen County Health Department offers Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for ages 12 and older. Walk-ins welcome Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-noon. Drive-through rapid testing also available. Information: 910-872-6291.

3. Today’s weather: Slight chance of showers, then partly sunny with high around 89. Tonight, mostly clear with low around 71.
