2. Summer Reading Kickoff: Thursday, 6:30 p.m., Bladen County Public Library Main Branch, Elizabethtown. Outdoor program, live reptiles, free books, ice cream, popcorn.
3. High school graduations scheduled Friday: East Bladen, 8 a.m., Lenon Fisher Field. West Bladen, 6:30 p.m., football field. Gates at both schools will close promptly 10 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Rain date at both schools is Saturday.
