Get ready Florence is coming! Some technology tips.
1 – Back up everything and carry backups with you.
2 – Unplug all your computer/network equipment including printers.
3 – Get everything off the floor. Put on table tops.
4 – Cover and seal everything in trash bags. Make sure power is off.
5 – Shutdown servers. Cover them.
6 – If your business could flood – take your server with you. Do not ever have your backup and server in the same place.
7 – Have a laptop and hotspot ready to use in case you have to take payments or lookup information. A battery pack of that can charge phones and laptops is recommended.
8 – Check your generator if you plan to use one. Get gas for generator.
