The 9th Annual Beast Fest started this morning. Mayor Rufus Duckworth asked folks to take a moment of silence for the festival’s founder, Hiram Hester. Many town and county officials are in attendance along with the Beast of Bladenboro himself.
Chief Hunt along with Sheriff McVicker told everyone it is a honor to serve the community and asked everyone to enjoy the beautiful day and the fun activities.
Don White, President of Boost the Boro said, “I want to thank the vendors and our many sponsors. We have great weather and lots of people. I appreciate you being here.”
Don Chase, with WKML 95.7 is the MC for today. He said, “I’m honored to be in my home town of Bladenboro.”
