WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC), James Lankford (R-OK), and Orrin Hatch (R-UT) held a press conference to introduce the Solution for Undocumented Children through Careers, Employment, Education, and Defending our nation (SUCCEED) Act, a solution to address the legal uncertainty facing undocumented children and young undocumented adults who were brought to the United States as children.
The SUCCEED Act provides a fair but rigorous track for undocumented children to qualify for conditional permanent resident (CPR) status, requiring them to follow one or a combination of three specific pathways to earn and maintain their status once they become adults: being gainfully employed, pursing postsecondary or vocational education, or serving in the U.S. military.
