Bladenboro’s Boost the Boro pulls off the annual Beast Fest every year. This year was as big as ever for the 11th year.

The event was held Friday and Saturday. Live entertainment, vendors, rides, a car show and so much more helps draw thousands of people each year.

Chairman of the Beast Fest, Charles Ray Peterson said, “I thought it was fantastic, both Friday night and all day Saturday! Everybody seemed to be happy and the vendors were pleased.”

This year there were extras added. The Fantastic Shakers and Black Water Rhythm & Blues were the bands in the line up this year. Children enjoyed the carnival atmosphere, costume contests, a hay ride and Trunk or Treat held by New Light Church.

The evenings came to a close with dancing in the street and smiles from ear to ear.

Chairman of the Boost the Boro, Inc. said in a social media post, “By far, the biggest event we have had so far. All of the 50+ members of Boost the Boro appreciates the generous sponsors, the community, the vendors, the entertainers and the often unseen efforts that go into making this a special event for both the town and county.”
