Thoughts While Shaving

Happy Thanksgiving Day!  A great time for family and friends to share time, food, football and more.

3 NFL games today:
12:30   Vikings vs Lions
4:30     Chargers vs Cowboys
8:30     Giants vs Redskins

East Bladen Eagles football team will host Southwest Onslow Friday at 7:30 PM.  Coach Robby Priest and his team have had a great year.  They deserve our support.

Last night, NC State basketball team won 91-84 over Arizona to improve their record to 5-0.  Most ACC teams are off to a great start, one exception is Wake Forest with a 1-4 record

Too much action in Bladen over the past few days.

Young man from Dublin is in Bladen County jail under huge bond after going on a shooting spree stand-off; house fire in Bladenboro late yesterday (Wed.) leaves family with few belongings, and the Gen X issue.

Good news related to US 701-NC 87 intersection just south of Elizabethtown.  All lanes appear to be open, construction continues, but traffic flow is better.

Of all the sexually related charges that appears to be an epidemic in the USA, the Charlie Rose accusations were most surprising to me.  Have been a fan of his for many years.  If all that are accused in DC resign or are ousted, there may more maneuvering for enough votes to pass anything.

Ever ride thru a different part of the county or state and think, no way would I live here?  Then, think of what residents of that area would think of your part of the world.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays!  Our immediate family is small, but all will be together today for a short time today.  Two sons, a daughter-in-law, a grand-daughter and grand-son and his bride-to-be.  Love them all.

I am thankful for so many blessings, especially our extended family, good neighbors and friends.  Look forward to many more Thanksgiving seasons.

If you are really thankful, what do you do?  You share.  W. Clement Stone

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year because it reminds us to give thanks and to count our blessings.  Suddenly, so many things become so little when we realize how blessed and lucky we are.  Joyce Giraud

Thanksgiving is a time of togetherness and gratitude.  Nigel Hamilton
