Thankful for a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with members of immediate family.   Good company, food and football, and lots of leftovers.

Vikings, Chargers & Redskins were NFL winners yesterday.  UNC & Duke basketball teams scored wins, NC State lost their first of the year and first under new head coach, still all are off to great starts.

Coach Robby Priest and his Eagles team will host Southwest Onslow 7:30 PM today as NCHSAA football playoffs continue.  Temp at kick-off should be in the mid 40s dropping to low 40s by 9 PM.  Bundle up, should be a great show and the team & coaches deserve our support.

Open Door Ministries again fed a free meal to hundreds yesterday.  Congratulations for doing, not just talking.  I understand other churches participated, but Open Door Ministries hosted and organized, and have done it for years.

The National Weather Service is predicting a drier than normal weather pattern for our area this winter, less rainfall and slightly warmer temps.
