CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) today toured Charlotte Pipe & Foundry, meeting with both employees and management to learn how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is already benefiting hardworking Americans and American companies.
“The recent Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is already having a major impact throughout the country. Today, I met with hardworking patriots who are receiving both a bonus and a raise thanks to tax reform, while CEO Roddey Dowd expects more business as the economy picks up speed,” said Congressman Pittenger. “The Dowd family has again provided extraordinary leadership through their $1,000 bonuses to all 1,400 employees at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry. We also pay tribute to the Sherrill family with their continued, very generous support of our community by also providing $1,000 bonuses to their 800 employees at SteelFab. Nancy Pelosi may call these “crumbs,” but to everyone I met today, these are real, tangible, benefits that will help their families.”
Congressman Pittenger was joined on the tour by Concord Congressman Richard Hudson (NC-08).
