CERRO GORDO – The East Bladen trio of juniors Erica McKoy and Ja’Tyra Moore-Peterson and sophmore Patience Ward fired in 19 points each to lead East Bladen to a 66-51 girls basketball victory over West Columbus Thursday night in Three Rivers Conference action.

Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles improved to 11-1 in league play and 16-1 overall. East Bladen stretched their winning streak to 12 games in a row and maintained their 2-game lead in the Three Rivers standings.

The Lady Eagles built an 18-14 first quarter lead, before the Lady Vikings narrowed the gap to 29-27 at halftime.

East Bladen opened up a 45-35 lead with a 16-8 third period surge and piled up 21 points in the final quarter to stretch the final margin to 15 points.

Annela Tiffany topped the West Columbus scoring with 19 points, and teammate Tahnijah McKoy finished with 13 points. Raena Goodman added 10 points.

East Bladen will travel to Fairmont Friday night.
