FAIRMONT – Fairmont defeated East Bladen 40-27 Friday night in Three Rivers Conferfence jayvee boys action.
Allen Owens pumped in a trio of baskets and a free throw, and Juwan Baldwin nailed a 3-point shot and another basket as the Eagles built a 15-11 first quarter lead. Tayshaun Berkeley dropped in another basket for East.
Kasey Price and Baldwin threw in second quarter baskets for East Bladen, but the Tornadoes rode a 12-4 spurt to a 23-19 halftime lead.
Baldwin and Owens tossed in third quarter baskets for the Eagles, but Fairmont padded their lead to 30-23.
Berkeley and Rashard Willis netted baskets for East in the final period. Baldwin and Owens shared scoring honors for the Eagles with 9 points each.
The Eagles will travel to St. Pauls Tuesday night.
