Meanwhile, back on the ranch……..

My favorite, Joey Price resigns as St. James football coach.  One of the all time great NC high school football coaches, his teams have won 5 state championships, is leaving to be a full-time pastor at Oak Dale Baptist Church in Loris, SC where he has been serving as the interim pastor.  The News Reporter article quoted Price, “I feel like I’ve been called to do something different in my life.  It’s something I’ve struggled with……..I still love football and I love being a football coach, but I can’t put the time to them both.”…….Price did not completely rule out returning to coaching in some capacity in the future.  His son, JP, was recently named head football coach at Whiteville High School.  Joey made a name for himself in football at South Columbus and Wallace-Rose Hill.  Think we need more Joey Price type individuals.
