DUBLIN – Bladen Community College is partnering with the Bladen County Opioid task force to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes for the community with no registration fee to participants.

The classes will include a discussion about Naloxone, (sold as Narcan), a medication used to block the effects of opioids, especially when an opioid overdose has occurred.

Volunteer instructors will teach classes across the county at various locations. A CPR class is two hours long. Adults and children may be trained. Summer classes for children under the age of 16 will be scheduled in June and July.

Participants who successfully pass the written and skills test can receive a CPR certification card. There is
a small fee for the card.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Special requests for classes will be considered.
