Dixie Youth BaseballLUMBERTON – The Dixie Youth Baseball World Series comes to our area Friday as the Lumberton Youth Baseball Association will host not one, not two, but Five different DYB World Series. The opening ceremonies for two of those World Series will be held Friday night.

World Series games begin Saturday morning at 9:00 for the Coach-Pitch (Class AA) and Machine Pitch World Series at Northeast Park in the Raymond B. Pennington Athletic Complex that is located at 900 Meadow Road.

Activities for the World Series begin Friday at 3:30 with a Skills Competition at Northeast Park. Opening Ceremonies will be held Friday night at 7:30 at the Lumberton High School Football Field.

Saturday’s pool play games begin at 9 a.m. and continue through the day with the last games slated to begin at7:30 p.m. Pool play-off games continue Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

Championship bracket games start Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with Sunday’s final games scheduled for 8:30 p.m.Monday’s games are scheduled for 3 p.m., 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The World Series championship games are slated for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Ozone, Majors and Minors (Class AAA) World Series will begin August 4th in Lumberton.

Daily admission for the World Series is $10 with a World Series pass being sold for $25. Children 12-and-under will be admitted free.
