Many of us have annual reviews for various things such as our physical health, our financial situation, our businesses and so forth, but often, we neglect to have an annual review of our insurance coverage. Rotarian Anne Beyer addressed the Elizabethtown Rotary Club on Wednesday regarding the importance of having an annual insurance review.
The annual insurance review looks at all of your coverage areas and is intended to ensure that you have adequate coverage for your property and other items in the event there is a loss due to an accident or fire, according to Beyer.
She also spoke about things to consider regarding your insurance coverage such as flooding which is not covered in a standard homeowners policy. Beyer also said that when you are thinking about your automobile insurance, make sure you understand exactly what is covered in terms of personal injury and liabilities.
Beyer also said many individuals don’t always purchase a life insurance policy, but she says it is something that, when needed, can be a very useful tool for the family. She also said that many parents are unaware of the fact they can purchase life insurance on their child.
She advised that everyone should make time to have an annual review of their insurance to make sure there are no coverage gaps.
