Don’t put it off any longer! Make it your new year’s resolution to enroll at Bladen Community College in a program designed to help adult learners obtain a high school diploma or equivalent. It may also be an alternative choice for minors who drop out of school.

Travis Locklear, BCC Director of College Readiness stated “a General Education Degree or GED can open up many opportunities such as employment, furthering one’s education or advancement on the job.” He added, “BCC had thirty GED graduates in 2018. Come and be one of them in 2019.”

The high school equivalent is a course of study that provides the student with credentials recognized by the state of North Carolina that allows students to apply for college or employment. Classes are held at convenient times on the BCC Campus and in the community such as at the Bladenboro Historical Building, Booker T. Washington Primary School, East Arcadia BCC Campus, and Elizabethtown Middle School. All study materials and books are provided at no cost to the student. Instructors will be available to assist you with class registration.
