Jimmy Green of Clarkton filed for the office of Governor of North Carolina. A large group of Bladen citizens converged upon Raleigh to support his efforts. His filing fee was paid from a “Green Box” with money donated by Bladen citizens.
Jim Giles was named Bladen Board of Elections Supervisor.
Edd Nye filed to regain his seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives.
Elizabethtown banker John Shaw filed for a seat on the Bladen County Board of Commissioners.
