BLADENBORO – Anthony Mitchell and Gary Parker combined for 25 points Monday night to lead Bladenboro’s Bulldogs to a 48-28 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys basketball victory over Hallsboro.

Parker, Mitchell and Jabari Adams tossed in first period baskets, and center Deonte Lacy made 2 free throws as the Bulldogs raced to an 8-2 lead.

Mitchell nailed a 3-point shot and a basket in the second quarter, and Jabari Adams sank a basket and 2 free throws. Parker and Landon Stanley connected for baskets as the Bulldog lead grew to 21-8 at halftime.

Parker delivered a pair of third period baskets, and Mitchell drained a 3-point shot. Lacy powered inside for a basket and a free throw. Jabari Adams tallied a basket as the lead grew to 33-15.

Two more baskets from Parker sparked the Bulldogs in the final quarter. Mitchell buried his third 3-point shot of the game. Walter Bealon and Hezekiah Adams netted a basket each, and Lacy and Jabari Adams cashed in 2 free throws each.

Mitchell led the Bulldog scoring with 13 points, and Parker followed with 12 points. Jabari Adams finished with 10 points. Lacy totaled 7 points. L. Keel scored 6 of his 8 points for Hallsboro in the final period.

Coach Phillip Penny’s Bulldogs improved to 5-3, but will be idle until they travel to Hallsboro on Feb. 7th.
