A crash on Mercer Mill Road near Dewitt Gooden Road on Wednesday afternoon resulted in minor injuries for the driver.
According to North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Anders, Ashanta Hill of Elizabethtown was traveling north on Mercer Mill Road when she entered a curve and overcorrected the vehicle. The vehicle ran off the roadway to the right, struck a tree and overturned, according to the Highway Patrol.
Hill had a 16-year old passenger in the vehicle with her. Trooper Anders said only minor injuries were reported.
Hill was cited for failing to maintain lane control, according to Trooper Anders.
