Elizabethtown – The Baldwin Branch Baptist Church Missionary Ministry presents their First Pack the Pew Church Softball Tournament. This 2-day sporting event begins 6:00 p.m. June 28 with the championship game 10:30 a.m. June 29. The churches participating are: Graham Chapel AME Zion Church, Greater Robinson Temple Holiness Church, Union Baptist Church and Baldwin Branch. All activities will be held at the Bladen County Park located on US 701 Highway South; Elizabethtown NC. This is a time of fun and unity, but mainly an act of mission. Therefore, the public may bring canned goods and school supplies when they come to cheer for their team. A tournament trophy will be presented June 29 to the overall champion. The total objective is to socialize, have fun and be an aspiration to the community. Admission is free. The Rev. Dr. Louie Boykin is the pastor.
