Bladen County’s Opioid Task Force wants the citizens from East Arcadia, Dublin and Clarkton to join them for a discussion on the opioid crisis. Dr. Cathy Gantz, the coordinator with the Opioid Task Force has announced three town halls to be held at each township.
Thoughts, opinions, and suggestions related to the opioid crisis will be collected from local residents at each event. The community outreach efforts being made to gleam information from Bladen County citizens about the opioid crisis will assist the Task Force in making a strategic plan to combat the issues of substance abuse with long-term solutions.
The first event will be held Tuesday, August 27 at the East Arcadia Senior Center located at 1645 East Arcadia Road in Riegelwood starting at 9 a.m.
The second event will be held at the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday, August 27 starting at 6:30 p.m. The location of the department is 324 South Third Street in Dublin.
The Clarkton Town Hall will hold their event on Thursday, August 29 at 81 North Elm Street in Clarkton starting at 6:30 p.m.
