Parents and Caretakers –

Welcome back to another school year of exciting opportunities for your students to grow. We are eager to help your child get the best education possible, and I hope your school year is already off to a great start.

Throughout this school year, your NC Department of Public Instruction will be updating you on the steps we are taking to address your concerns.

Here in Raleigh, my team and I are leading efforts to reduce testing; improve North Carolina’s education standards; and increase funding for more and better school safety programs, classroom supplies, school construction, and educator salaries.
