LAKE WACCAMAW – East Columbus defeated West Bladen 2-0 on Thursday in Three Rivers Conference junior varsity volleyball action.
Catherine Dowless fired in 5 service points, an ace and totaled 3 digs for the Lady Knights. Alyssa Suggs slammed in 3 aces, a kill, 3 service points and had 3 digs. Emily Young knocked in 2 service points, an ace and a kill.
Caroline Brisson keyed the West Bladen defense with 6 digs and had a service point. Kylee Ward hammered in 2 aces and a service point. Kennedy Carroll collected 3 digs and a service point.
Whitney McLean and Lydia Villagomez pounded in one kill each, and Villagomez and had one dig.
The Lady Knights, now 3-1, will host Whiteville next Thursday.
