Update at 2 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2019: The Silver Alert has been canceled for Justin Hickman according to Lieutenant Mike Salmon with the White Lake Police Department. Mr. Hickman was located near Clinton and has been sent to the hospital for observation.

Mike Salmon, Lieutenant with the White Lake Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance. Justin Hickman a 25 year old, white male about 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, has been reported missing since September 24, 2019.

“We have a silver alert out for him,” Lt. Salmon said.

He was last seen in the area of Highway 53 East and Clarkland Village in White Lake around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with blue jean shorts and tennis shoes (Walmart brand) and may be carrying a camouflage backpack.

Lt. Salmon added, “Hickman does have cognitive impairments and is without his medication.”

Volunteers and law enforcement will be at the Water Rescue Station at White Lake gathering a search group for the missing man. Anyone with information may call Bladen Central at 910-862-8141.

Update at 11:40 a.m. on September 26, 2019

North Carolina State Parks are on the water at White Lake looking and have already checked 350 peers.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office man tracking team and the White Lake Police Department are on foot searching for Mr. Hickman with blood hound tracking teams from the NC Divisions Adult of Prison. White Lake Police and the Sheriff’s office have a drone in the air searching

Bladen County Water Rescue and White Lake Fire Department are also helping in the search.
