WILMINGTON – Senior Lacey Suggs poured in 15 of her 19 points in the second half Saturday as UNC-Wilmington claimed a 72-60 victory over Lenoir Rhyne in exhibition women’s basketball action.
Suggs connected on 5 of 6 shots from the field and sank all 5 of her free throw attempts after intermission. For the game, the White Lake native totaled 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
The Lady Seahawks will open their season Nov. 5 at Wake Forest.
