ELIZABETHTOWN – Clarkton School of Discovery handed Nakina the Mustangs first loss of the season 2-0 Monday night in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys soccer action at Bladen County Park.
In the 5th minute of play, Elijah Cain banged in the first Blue Devil goal off of an assist from Joshua Lennon. Nine minutes later Matt Kemp sent a pass to Garrett Dunham who knocked in the 2nd Clarkton goal.
Lee Barnes posted the shutout in goal for Clarkton.
Coach Jordan Raynor’s Blue Devils improved to 5-2 on the season and will host Acme-Delco on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Bladen County Park.
