Whiteville, NC – Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your assistance in locating a missing person. Markel Dashann Gore, 22, of Whiteville was last seen at the Scotchman gas station in Clarkton on Sunday, June 21, between the hours of 6:00 – 7:00 am. Markel Gore is a black male, approximately 5’11” tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on the inside of his right forearm. Markel Gore is believed to have been traveling on foot, heading southbound on Hwy 701 towards Whiteville.
