July 4th holiday fast approaching … Big plans??? Remember when many industries closed for a week? Maybe some continue that old tradition today…

Going to White Lake was about as good as could be expected. The COVID-19 virus has changed some plans for this year, for many…

For farmers in the 50s and 60s, time to ‘barn’ tobacco … croppin’, stringin’, climbing up in the barn to ‘hang’ the green weed, the biggest cash crop at that time … ‘gummy hands and arms’, and you could earn 30 to 40 cents an hour…

July 15, deadline for filing 2019 income tax info…

Never in my wildest dream could I believe that on June 25, 2020 … spring sports in high school, college and pro level, halted … and a return date is uncertain … even fall sports are in limbo … major events that are continuing, doing so without fans … empty stadiums … race tracks and golf courses…

Yesterday was not a good day for the stock market … but what goes down will rise again.

Maybe we are being tested … Hopefully, the test ends soon and all returns to normal…

Professionals remind us that conditions are not likely to return to normal until medications are available that deals with the virus.

One more reminder of our difficult times … those who have loved ones in long-term-care facilities, unable to visit … seems cruel, but necessary…

We hope and pray for better days…

“It’s not always easy, but that’s life. Be strong. Know there are better days ahead.” Unknown

“Everything we ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” George Addair

“Two things that define you … your patience, when you have nothing & your attitude when you have everything.”
