Spread the love

June 30, 2020 … looking forward to better days ahead. … We celebrate July 4th Saturday, and look forward to a better second half of 2020. COVID-19 has forced so many changes and it continues. … We, our state and nation, were off to a good beginning, in early March, we begin hearing about coronavirus, and our world changed and the adjustment has been difficult. … No reason to dwell on the past, except to hopefully learn from it … it would be safe to say we are still learning, adjusting, and preparing to deal with the pandemic for days, weeks, months, maybe years to come…

Remember when there was a White Lake Blueberry Festival, brought in stars from Hollywood … remember David Soul? Had a beauty contest, selected a queen that reigned over the event … Ski Heels entertained, they were a group of mostly local youngsters who loved and lived in the area of White Lake … there were some great shows, fireworks were enjoyed by thousands. Later it became the Water Festival, still a good time for all … dancing featuring some big name bands, and a tractor pull on the old airport site…

Will be different this year due to COVID-19.

Water is good, good level, quality of the water appears to be good … and many will enjoy this weekend and this year, but many of the festivities we have enjoyed for years will be missing due to an unwelcomed virus that has a grip on our nation and the world. … Come visit, and enjoy … keeping social distancing in mind…
