July 27, 2020 … If it were a normal year, many would no doubt be thinking about back-to-school, and all the sporting events related to that time … Major League Baseball would be in full swing, maybe the All-Star game already played. In the world of golf, many of the most notable championships would have been played … Master’s, etc. … and the NFL would be preparing for another season … But … this is not a normal year … Our thoughts are mostly about how our youngsters will begin the new school year … Who would/could have ever dreamed of such an issue as COVID-19?

Hot weather continues … Yesterday’s high was 94 in this area … Today, sunny with a high near 96 and heat index of as high as 103. ‘Bout the same tomorrow, except a 30% chance of rain. The chance of rain increased to 60% Wednesday, 70% Thursday and 50% Friday…
Remember when many churches had special services to pray for rain?
It is a good time to enjoy fresh veggies and maybe a watermelon…
