It’s Sunday … church day…

Good to have sports back on TV … Saw some of several games, including Campbell University vs Georgia Southern … First time I have seen the Fighting Camels football team on TV … They lost a tough one, 27-26 … Former East Bladen Eagle Chris Cromartie listed as a defensive tackle … In fact, several players from throughout the area were on the roster…

Football continues today … In NFL action … Panthers vs Raiders at 1 p.m. on CBS, Eagles vs Washington on Fox, actually a full slate of games, topped off Monday night with the Tennessee Titans at Denver … Looking forward to seeing Larrell Murchison, Bladen County native, hopefully making his NFL debut.

UNC was a winner over Syracuse 31-6.
Clemson over Wake Forest, 37-13.
Notre Dame over Duke, 27-13.
Georgia Tech 16, Florida State 16-13.
App State won, ECU game PPD.

PGA in California for the Safeway Open … Former Fairmont Golden Tornado William McGirt attempting a comeback after a nearly 2 year layoff due to health issues … Made the cut, but struggled Saturday. Play continues today.

The Vineyard Golf Course at White Lake looked like a huge parking lot yesterday … big play and should be again today…

Good weather forecast … Partly sunny, with a high near 86 and a north wind around 7 mph. Tonight, partly cloudy with a low around 70.

“There may be people with more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.” Derek Jeter

“Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.” John Wooden
