NASHVILLE, TN – Former East Bladen star Larrell Murchison recorded a tackle Sunday as he saw his first National Football League action for the Tennessee Titans in a 33-30 win over Jacksonville.

Murchison who was placed on the “inactive list” for the Titans opener Monday night at Denver was listed as the backup to Jack Crawford at defensive end for Sunday’s game.

Early in the second period, Murchison teamed up with safety Kenny Vaccaro to bring down the Jaguars’ Laviska Shenault and record his first professional tackle.

The Titans built a 24-10 halftime lead but needed Stephen Gostkowski’s 49-yard field goal with 1:36 left to go back on top 33-30. Spring Lake, N.C. native Harold Landry III made an interception with 47 seconds left to seal the Tennessee victory.

Murchison and the Titans are now 2-0 and will travel to Minnesota Sunday for a 1 p.m. game.
