Thoughts While Shaving for September 29

Spread the love

Late NFL score … KC Chiefs 34 – Baltimore Ravens 20.

Tonight … Presidential debate … President Donald Trump (R) and Joe Biden (D) in Cleveland from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Chris Wallace will be the moderator…

If my memory is correct, an earlier debate was scheduled for Notre Dame, but cancelled due to COVID-19…

Years ago before there was a golf course at White Lake, I was attempting to learn to play … My partners, now all deceased, on this particular day were Bobby and Frank Baker and Herbert Cain … We traveled to Lumberton … We were greeted by the manager, funny, matter-of-fact type individual … First question by him was … You folks come to play or dig d—- fish bait? … Guess he remembered our last trip … probably concerned about my bad play … I later retired (quit) from the game … Bobby later managed Wam Squam at White Lake, provided some delicious meals … but has suffered greatly in recent years and died recently. Condolences to his family.

Scattered showers likely this afternoon … Mostly cloudy with a high near 81 … windy and a 60% chance of rain, tonight low around 65 and chance of rain increases to 80%. Looking ahead, cooler weather. High in the low 70s beginning Friday.

Good, maybe my weeds will cease to grow in cooler weather.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), is the last day of September … Hob-gobblin month (Halloween) and elections drawing near…

Remember the sick and those who have lost loved ones…
