Spread the love

On Monday evening local Fire Departs took Santa Claus around small towns to help spread Christmas cheer. Bladen County Fire Marshal Kenneth Clark announced some fire departments would be driving around with Santa in firetrucks for a little extra Christmas boost.

He said Covid-19 has put a damper on Santa meetings and Christmas parades, therefore, some local fire departments wanted to spread some cheer in a different way this year.

Clarkton Fire Captain Tony Higgins who came up with the festive idea stated he had an elf and a little puppy riding around with Santa too.

Firefighter Adam Marlowe said it was a lot of fun and he enjoyed celebrating the holiday in this way.

Bladenboro Fire Chief Coleman said his fire department took Santa and the Grinch across Bladenboro. The popular Christmas characters and firefighters tooted their horn and waved big from the grocery store to the nursing home helping spread some happiness.

Clarkton, Dublin and Lisbon firefighters were also caught on camera with their fire trucks beeping in the night hosting jolly old St. Nick.

Children should be on the lookout cause Santa has his final good list and will be making his rounds tonight.

Merry Christmas!
